Ako. (2019)

“Ako.” is a silent, self-expression film. It’s basically a short film about myself and life’s little (and big) pleasures. I titled it “Ako.” to pay homage to my Filipino culture, as the word ako means me or myself. I’m someone who struggles with showing vulnerability, but I really wanted to give the audience a glimpse of myself even if it seemed surface level. Everything mentioned in this short film has special memories attached to it. I wanted to make something that felt like a memory, that was fun, short, and exciting to watch even if there was no sound.
